Among an all-star lineup of celebrities honoring Michael Jackson with a new recording of “We are the World” was standout nine-year-old Ethan Bortnick, who is already making an impression on the music world as a pianist, composer and entertainer. Originally recorded 25 years ago to raise awareness of the famine in Africa, the updated song was recorded on February 1 and will debut during NBC's coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on February 12. Bortnick, the youngest to participate in the new recording, performed alongside a stellar lineup of over 70 music industry elite ranging from Barbara Streisand to Kanye West to Sugarland.

It was also announced this week that Bortnick will be an official Baldwin Piano artist, becoming the newest member of the Baldwin family. As the official piano of choice for Bortnick, Baldwin will provide support on his upcoming tours, television programs and other projects

Only nine years old, Bortnick has shared the stage with such legendary artists as Elton John, Beyonce, Natalie Cole and Josh Groban. With the exquisite ability to play over 200 songs from memory, his exceptional piano skills and radiant personality have been showcased on television shows including four appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, Martha Stewart and appearances on every major television network.
