Buddy Guy on "Guitar Center Sessions" Nov. 15 on n3D

Guitar Center (www.guitarcenter.com ), the world's largest musical instrument retailer and DIRECTV, the world's most popular video service, today announced a new episode of Guitar Center Sessions featuring blues legend Buddy Guy.

Guitar Center Sessions is a music-based television special featuring exclusive performances and intimate conversations with revered musicians. Hosted by Nic Harcourt, renowned tastemaker and KCRW host, the show premieres November 15 at 9PM ET/PT in eye-popping 3D on DIRECTV's n3D(TM), powered by Panasonic. The program also airs in 2D hi-definition on DIRECTV's The 101® Network (channel 101) at 9PM ET/PT.

Capturing real-life moments from one of the most revered artists in blues history, Guitar Center explores Buddy Guy's musical heritage in an intimate studio gathering. Viewers get a special perspective on what inspires a legendary artist to produce great work. The program sheds light on Buddy Guy's early days as an aspiring blues artist. He talks about what inspired him to craft some of his favorite songs, and he discusses his close relationship with the Rolling Stones.

Buddy Guy's story comes to life in 3D, featuring performances of "Damn Right I Got The Blues", "Feels Like Rain", "Don't Let The Doorknob Hit Ya" and "Skin Deep," Guitar Center Sessions with Buddy Guy transports viewers from their living rooms to the heart of blues country.

During the taping Guy said to the audience "Most song writers that I know now, we get our song ideas from conversations like we're having right now."

With the recent release of a new studio album titled Living Proof, Guy's understated studio efforts foreshadow impressive live performances. Living Proof attests to his staying power in a changing musical landscape. The album, which was released on October 26, is rich with collaborative energy. For the first time, B.B. King joined Guy in the studio to track "Stay Around a Little Longer."

Continuing its commitment to inspiring musicians, Guitar Center Sessions is filmed in front of a live audience, composed primarily of music students, giving music fans a rare peak inside the minds of their idols. Each episode is filmed at the world famous Guitar Center Hollywood Vintage Room, an ideal environment in which to unveil these artists' inspirational stories. Home viewers and attendees alike will hear first-hand accounts from each artist about their personal and musical journeys and the influences that molded them into the icons they have become. The most recent episodes featured Jane's Addiction and Peter Gabriel with upcoming episodes including artists like The Cult, Joe Bonamassa and more.

Guitar Center Sessions on DIRECTV is an extension of Guitar Center's ongoing music education based initiative of the same name.
