November 21 – Abraiha is back to coordinate another Shimmyshowcase this Sunday before Thanksgiving and welcomes four sensational guest dancers to I-Candy’s magic carpet. Daliah, Maria, and Dalilah & Nadirah will dazzle and tantalize you with their exquisite costumes and spectacular moves, so be sure to come see it or you will be sorry that you missed some great dancing!
Everyone is invited to this cozy haven for a relaxing evening among friends. Select your favorite beverage, hot or cold, from an assortment of coffees, teas, smoothies or juice; add to that a tasty sandwich or pastry; and then seat yourself alongside our magic carpet to enjoy some really great dancing at NO cover charge! If that isn’t incentive enough, there is even a 20% off coupon below good on any I-Candy food or beverage on Shimmyshowcase nights!
The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at I-CANDY COFFEE in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).
Please allow time for parking to avoid missing any of the fun. Since street parking around I-Candy Coffee is scarce, we recommend you try the perimeter of Bixby park located two blocks east of I-Candy Coffee at Broadway and Cherry. Please try to arrive before 7:00 PM (earlier if you’re a performer!) as we try not to start the show until everyone has settled with a tasty beverage.

December 5 – The year-end holidays provide the opportunity to show the loved ones in our lives how much they mean to us. In celebration of this time, Jannah of the Om Sisters presents “Love is in the Air.” Shimmyshowcase is thrilled to have the lovely and talented Katerina, Melissa, Ashley, Reba and the Om Sisters performing with us for this special evening.
December 12 – Abraiha is your coordinator for this Shimmyshowcase, and she welcomes guest dancers Ashley, Meryem Vani and male dancer David to I-Candy’s magic carpet.
December 19 - It’s the annual year-end holiday Shimmyshowcase and also coordinator Saviya’s birthday! To help her celebrate, we have some sensational dancers lined up to perform for this last Shimmyshowcase of 2010. Please join guest dancers Jheri (of JJ & the Habibis), Bella, Sarah al Nour , and Deborah as we celebrate Saviya’s birthday through dance performances reflecting the holiday season. For this year-end event, we’re starting earlier--at 5:00 p.m. You can make a tasty meal from an I-Candy sandwich, salad, or soup during the first half of our show and enjoy birthday cake at intermission. We hope you can join in the fun and festivities!
