He Is We releases digital album

Uber-popular Internet music site PureVolume.com received a dollop of action yesterday as fans rushed to listen to the new HE IS WE album MY FOREVER. Garnering astoundingly over 60,000 plays on PureVolume in its first 24 hours, the stream for My Forever is STILL generating a record number of streams with nearly 20,000 plays today alone.

"It feels surreal," said guitarist Trevor Kelly excitedly. "We love PureVolume and we are glad they love us too!"

Originally scheduled for digital release tomorrow (November 23, 2010), it made its retail debut a day early and has been released today, November 22 via Motown Universal in a partnership with FrameworkNY. It is available via iTunes at http://tinyurl.com/heiswe-itunes.

He continues, "I really feel we grew up a little bit with our fans on PureVolume, so being able to have them give our fans the first listen to our album was a pretty special experience and the response we are getting is unbelievable."

My Forever is the culmination of the last two amazing years in the life of the two friends who met in a music store, wrote a couple of great songs that got them crowned as PureVolume's #1 Unsigned Artist of 2009, and signed a major label deal - not too bad for these modest kids from the Pacific Northwest. With over 2.8 million plays and over 190,000 downloads on PureVolume alone, He Is We posted a free download of the Old Demos EP for a limited time as a thank you to their fans, which has received over 50,000 downloads to date. Salt Lake City Weekly correctly called the band "a true internet success story," while AbsolutePunk chimed in their album review: "For just a debut record, My Forever has set He Is We up for greatness.”

While the first single "And Run" is getting plenty of attention over at their Facebook page (http://tinyurl.com/heiswe-facebook), the duet between Rachel Taylor and Aaron Gillespie (The Almost, ex-Underoath) "All About Us" has been generating a lot of heat at their MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/heiswe) where both have been streaming since last week. Very much in tune and in touch with their massive number of adoring fans, both Rachel and Trevor have been very cogent about making sure they kept their fans in mind during the recording for the new album.

"It's been a long process, and finally seeing our hard work payoff by giving our fans some substantial material is really exciting," says Trevor. "They have waited patiently and we are thrilled our listeners finally have the album in their hands. Fans wanted to know when it would be coming out and this was hard because we love our fans a lot, but didn't have an answer for them for so long."

"Every new song we wrote, we were more and more excited about and wanted on the album," he says of the album. "At the end of the day, we have 10 songs on the record that we couldn't be more proud of. The response from our fans has been the best part. We can't wait to get back on the road again and hang out with everyone."

My Forever was produced by Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal. The Man, Foxy Shazaam) and Aaron Sprinkle (The Almost, Eisley, Pedro The Lion, Mae), with additional recording done in New York City with Dan Romer (Ingrid Michaelson).
