Caltech to screen "Earth Story" Dec. 4

Earth Story, a high-definition documentary, will be presented on Saturday, December 4, at 2 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium. This program is part of Caltech’s Science Saturdays series.

Exploring the world’s great natural wonders, such as the Grand Canyon and the world’s tallest waterfall, gives scientists insights into the colossal forces that created the whole planet. A BBC/Discovery Channel/NHK coproduction in association with the CBC.

This stunning high-definition movie will serve as the springboard for a lively discussion about the science behind the beauty and wonder of nature. Michelle Selvans, a graduate student in geology and planetary science at Caltech, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Tickets to this performance are priced at $5.00 (unreserved seating). Tickets can be purchased at the Caltech Ticket Office, 332 South Michigan Avenue, Pasadena.
