Descanso Gardens offers garden planning class and fall walk

Plan Your Spring Garden, 10 a.m. Nov. 13, Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge.
Get a jump on spring bloom: Descanso Horticulturist Mike Brown shows you how! Subjects covered include soil preparation, raised planting beds, container gardens and more.

Enjoy the colors of autumn at this informative walk and talk with Descanso Horticulturist Wayne Walker. He will show off Descanso trees in their fall finery, including ginkgos and liquidambars. Meet at the Center Circle.
Free with admission.

Descanso Gardens is located at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, near the interchange of the 2 and 210 freeways. The Gardens are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Christmas Day. Parking is free. Admission fees are $8 for adults; $6 for seniors and students; $3 for children 5 to 12, and free for members and children 4 and younger.
