The Lonely Forest at Spaceland Nov. 16

The Lonely Forest - the pride of Anacortes, Washington - are the first signing to Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie's new label Trans. Walla produced, engineered and mixed their new album Arrows, which will be out in March/April 2011.

As a sneak peak, the band just released a digi only self-titled EP. "Live There" recently debuted on Stereogum and was named KEXP Song Of The Day. The video for the first single, "Turn Off This Song and Go Outside" can be seen on MTV.com HERE. Nylon describes their sound as "guitar-heavy alt-rock ballads with all the intensity of, say, REM or Band of Horses, but without the mopey feeling you're left with afterward."
