Italian indie band The Mirrors release new album

The Great Illusion is the new album from The Mirrors, the Italian independent rock band formed in 2003 in Milan. The album is going great in Italy. You can hear clear influences from the British and American rock scene, from the Sixties to the Nineties as well current influences. The Great Illusion is a concept album that you have to listen to it from the beginning to the end. Everything is linked.
'The Great Illusion" - produced in collaboration with Avinash Ganesh (Nirvana by Gabriele Salvatores, a film with Christopher Lambert) - was released on iTunes Italy by Echophonic in April. During one week it was the 4th highest selling Rock album and the 26th overall highest seller among artists like David Gilmour, Genesis, David Bowie, U2, Dave Matthews Band, Depeche Mode, Morrisey, The Smiths, Bruce Springsteen, Stereophonics, Ben Harper, Skin, Placebo and many others. Some of the tracks are in the split The Big Eye with Volker Hinkel, founder of Fools Garden.
Thanks to this album The Mirrors have been discovered by Steve Zuckerman (2 Grammy Awards for the production of Les Paul & Friends with Keith Richards, Sting and Eric Clapton, founder of New York Music & Internet Expo, creator of Platinum Awards, GEMS) and selected for the humanitarian project Hope: Love is the Answer featuring Robert Fripp from King Crimson, Richie Havens & Joe Cerisano, Christopher Cross. The whole has been aired in May '07 on CBS Jack Fm 101.1 New York radio to promote Hope: Love is the Answer project.
The Mirrors will be playing at the Canadian Music Week in Toronto in March 2008 and Through will be featured in the film Shred with Tom Green and directed by David Mitchell.
