The Flatliners and The Snips to release split vinyl

Paper + Plastick Records is proud to present two of Ontario, Canada’s up-and-coming punk bands, Toronto’s The Flatliners and Welland’s The Snips, with a split vinyl 7" available on July 17 at www.audiblediversiongroup.com/PaperandPlastick.

“The Flatliners and The Snips are two great Canadian bands,” says Paper + Plastick founder Vinnie Fiorello. “Some are old touring friends of mine and some are new friends. When approached with the idea from Chris [Cresswell; vocals/guitar] Flatliner, I immediately said yes to it.”

Friends for a number of years, the collaboration between the bands had been almost four years in the making. Each band set out to write five short songs for the split, but they ended up becoming one long song per side. Pressed on red and blue swirl vinyl, The Flatliners recorded with longtime producer Steve Rizun (Protest The Hero, Ill Scarlet) while The Snips recorded with Dan Weston (Attack In Black, Crash Parallel).

The Flatliners recently began selling the 7” at the Toronto and Montreal stops of the Vans Warped Tour, and will be selling it on their five week European and U.K. tour (see dates here: http://www.myspace.com/theflatlinerstoronto).

The Snips are about to hit the U.S. on a two-week tour with fellow ska-punkers We Are The Union (who are recording a full length for P+P), and will also be selling the split (see dates here: http://www.thesnips.com/).

The Flatliners also recently recorded their sophomore album for Fat Wreck Chords, which will be released later this year.
