Kim Sozzi's new album due out July 21

Kim Sozzi has been busy setting up the release of her new full-length album “Just One Day” with an incredible success of the album's first single ‘Feel Your Love’. ‘Feel Your Love’ reached the top of the Billboard and FMQB Dance Airplay Charts marking Kim's biggest chart success to date and is the #1 MOST PLAYED Billboard Dance single of 2009, surpassing Lady Gaga’s ‘Pokerface’.

Kim, a Long Island native and current resident of NYC says, “I feel blessed that I have the opportunity to release such a great quality album. And the crossover success of ‘Feel Your Love’ makes it that much sweeter.”

“Starting with the talented writers and producers I collaborated with, the whole experience of making this album has been incredible”, asserts Sozzi, who co-wrote tracks on the album and is the executive producer.

Building rapidly on the chart success of Kim's prior hits, program directors, DJs and Kim's many fans quickly showed their love for ‘Feel Your Love’ as the track debuted in the top 20 and then rocketed its way to No. 1 on both the Billboard and FMQB Dance Radio Charts in just seven weeks. Since May, ‘Feel Your Love’ has been feeling the love of New York radio giants, Z100 and KTU, both officially adding the tune to their coveted playlists and today it remains on Billboard’s Dance Chart for it’s 42nd week. ‘Feel Your Love’ can also be heard in New York on 92.3, Pulse 87 and WBLI, and numerous other stations throughout the US and Canada.

Expanding upon the success for ‘Feel Your Love’ at radio, Kim performed the single live both on Good Day NY and NBC’s Weekend TODAY show to great reception and a spike in sales.

Kim's great 2009 success comes on the back of her 2008 hit ‘Like a Star’ (Ultra Records) - with mixes from Peter Luts and DJ Lamboy - that reached the top 20 of the Billboard and FMQB Dance Radio Airplay charts and had been the most requested song on New York’s new Pulse 87.7 FM. The track also received heavy rotation from Long Island’s 105.3 and Music Choice. ‘Like A Star’ can still be heard on Abercrombie & Fitch's website as the featured song on the site's model tryout page.

The title of her debut album has special meaning to Kim: “Throughout my career, I definitely put a lot of pressure on myself to reach certain milestones as an artist –chart topping, sales, great videos and more. I would regularly say to my manager ‘I am working so hard, these songs are so good, when will this happen, when will that happen -- when, when, when … and he would say to me ‘keep working hard, it will all happen JUST ONE DAY’. And then, “Just One Day” both the album and the success I’d been hoping for came to be --the support of my fans, all my friends at dance radio and now ‘Feel Your Love’ is crossing over to all these great stations throughout the country. It's all very rewarding."

With a string of well-known dance radio hits over the last few years, all of which can be found on her album “Just One Day”, Sozzi’s live performances remain in high demand. Kim performed over 60 shows at dozens of venues up and down the East Coast last year. This summer will find Kim performing ‘Feel Your Love’ and her other hits at venues such as PNC Arts Center in NJ, Jones Beach Theater on Long Island, Pier Landing in Philadelphia as well as venues throughout the Northeast, Florida and Canada.

Kim is no stranger to the glitz and glam of the industry (her mom was a dancer and her dad owns an entertainment company), by the age of eight she knew she wanted to sing. Her variety of vocal styles caught the attention of Columbia Records CEO at the time, Tommy Mottola, who signed Kim to her first major recording contract.

Kim landed a huge break when one of her songs, ‘Letting Go’, a tormented declaration of autonomy with enough honest sentiment to cause goosebumps, appeared on Songs from DAWSONS CREEK. Quickly following was an appearance on the TEACHING MRS. TINGLE with her song titled ‘Till I Cry You Out of Me’.

In 2001, Kim’s first single titled 'Feelin’ Me', which featured remixes by Grammy award winner Hex Hector, Jonathan Peters and Rosabel, proved to be a huge dance club hit peaking at #4 on The Billboard Dance Charts in 2001. That track also resulted in a popular music video in Germany featuring a very sultry Kim singing 'Every1’s A Winner', you can check out the video here: www.myspace.com/kimsozzi

In 2003, Kim recorded and toured with Opera star Jose Carreras from the world famous act, The Three Tenors. They recorded a duet titled ‘Show Me the Way’ which has been released in several countries throughout Europe and experienced major chart success. ‘Show Me the Way’ was also the theme song for the Ski Jumping sport at the Winter Olympics in Austria.

In 2005 Kim signed with premiere US dance label, Ultra Records, and teamed up her strong vocal talents with hit-making producers known as Mynt. That collaboration returned Kim to the top of the dance music world with the single, ‘How Did You Know’ which peaked at #1 on KTU 103.5 and received spins on New York’s top pop-station Z-100.

In 2006, Kim followed up with another dance radio hit, a vocally stunning remake of Heart’s ‘Alone’ which earned heavy airplay all summer on WKTU.

2007 was also a great year for Kim as she released another hit song titled “Break Up” produced by Cascada. Her playful video of ‘Break Up’ was the #1 most requested video for 2 weeks on the UK’s music channel “The Box” and garnered over 500,000 views on YouTube.
