Rev Theory to release new album

After over a two-year wait, Rev Theory fans can rejoice. Interscope / Geffen / A&M has announced a February 15, 2011 release date for the band’s third album: JUSTICE. The lead single, which is the title track “Justice,” goes to rock radio on Tuesday, November 2nd. The song will also be available at all digital retailers simultaneously.

Guitarist Julien Jorgensen shared, “As a band we attacked this opportunity with the intent of capturing the energy of a great live show. JUSTICE is a realized vision, and reflects who we are as a band more accurately than any of its predecessors. It really is the record we are most proud of.”

Justice is a theme Rev Theory has rallied around collectively. It is a concept or symbol encompassing a philosophy of rebellion and a statement towards society.

Jorgensen offered, “Every one walking this Earth has encountered an injustice in their lives. Whether it be professionally, philosophically, religiously, spiritually, politically, or even in a relationship they hold dear, this song is a statement towards standing up for one’s self and taking what is yours. It is a time in society where adversity must be challenged with strength, and as a band we have rallied around the belief that our time has come and we are going to grab it.”

Rev Theory is a touring machine playing as many as 250 dates a year. From the band’s inception in 2002, through the releases TRUTH IS CURRENCY (2005), and LIGHT IT UP (2008), they have toured relentlessly. The band is simply a working man’s band. Dave Agoglia (drums), Julien Jorgensen (rhythm guitar), Rikki Lixx (lead guitar), Rich Luzzi (vocals), and Matty McCloskey (bass, backing vocals) have built this together from the beginning.

Produced by Terry Date JUSTICE was recorded at Henson Studios – Hollywood, CA. This past week-end, the band appeared at the Monster Energy presented DIMEBASH 2010 alongside peers in the rock community that included members of the Foo Fighters, Dio, Shinedown, Slayer, and Testament supporting the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. On November 6, Rev Theory will take the stage at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX in front of an expected 100,000 music fans on a diverse bill which includes Puddle of Mudd, Flyleaf, Nas, Chris Cagle and Elvis Crespo. Additional appearances will be announced shortly.
