Grand Canyon documentary screening at Caltech April 9

The Grand Canyon, a high-definition documentary, will be presented on Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium. This program is part of Caltech’s Science Saturdays series.

How did the Grand Canyon get so deep? Discover the secrets revealed behind layers of rock in the canyon’s mile-high walls. A BBC/Discovery Channel/NHK co-production in association with the CBC.

This stunning high-definition movie will serve as the springboard for a lively discussion about the science behind the beauty and wonder of nature. Siddartha (Sid) Pathak, a postdoctoral scholar in applied physics and material science at Caltech, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Tickets to this performance are priced at $5.00 (unreserved seating). Tickets can be purchased at the Caltech Ticket Office, 332 South Michigan Avenue, Pasadena.
