Scala & Kolacny Brothers release album and appearing on "Conan" April 14

Further propelling Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ ascent to US stardom, the Belgian all-female rock choir will bring their stirring vocal arrangements and haunting melodies to ‘Conan’ on April 14, where they'll performtheir signature version of Radiohead's "Creep" (already heard by over 250 million worldwide in the trailer for "The Social Network"). And today you can watch the Yahoo! premiere of Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ intense music video for their version of Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody.”

Led by pianist/composer Steven Kolacny and his brother, conductor Stijn Kolacny, Scala & Kolacny Brothers have dazzled critics stateside their “brilliantly haunting” (Entertainment Weekly) sound that is simultaneously evocative and warming. They’ve been called one of the “Top 100 Acts at SXSW 2011” by AOL Spinner and were recently featured in NPR Music’s “Austin 100” mix.

Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ debut album, out tomorrow on ATCO, features imaginative reinterpretations of songs from Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Depeche Mode, Nirvana and others, as well as three original compositions by the group. They play a SXSW showcase at Austin’s legendary Stubb’s BBQ on Friday March 18 at 11:45pm, and kick off a 17-date headlining North American tour April 7 in Vancouver.
