Heroes of Hope Race for Research Nov. 6 in Playa Del Rey

Superstars Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Toni Braxton have all lent their voices to this year’s Heroes of Hope Race for Research. They are urging support for this annual race, which raises critical research money to battle pediatric and adult brain tumors and cancer in Southern California.

Who:
The race is organized by The Brad Kaminsky Foundation (TBKF), which has raised over one half million dollars for brain tumor and cancer research.

Dockweiler State Beach

Playa Del Rey, California

When:
November 6, 2011

6:30 a.m. registration

Why:
Brain Tumors continue to be the leading cause of solid tumor death in children and the leading cause of cancer death in men under the age of 39. There are over 300,000 people diagnosed with a brain tumor each year and over 20% of all cancer will spread to the brain.
