Rosie Flores to release 11th album

On October 16, the Rockabilly Filly Rosie Flores will release her 11th album Working Girl’s Guitar on Bloodshot Records. The new record is also hot on the heels of her involvement in producing and helping fund a posthumous Janis Martin album, The Blanco Sessions.

Working Girl’s Guitar marks the first time in Flores’ career that she has handled ALL solo production and guitar performance duties, and as a result her virtuosic abilities soar throughout each tune in their leanest, most pure form to date. Not since her days rising out of the Los Angeles New Traditionalist scene has the music been this raw and vital.

Rosie’s previous works and personal accomplishments have received critical praise from the likes of the Los Angeles Times, Guitar Player Magazine and Austin Chronicle, and likewise earned her an induction into the Austin (TX) Music Hall of Fame in 2007. She has appeared on nationally broadcast television programs “Austin City Limits,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” and “Late Show with David Letterman.” Further, her duets with longtime idols Janis Martin and Wanda Jackson on her 1995 released album Rockabilly Filly helped re-launch (from retirement) both female legends’ careers.
