On Wednesday, June 5, LA Opera hosts over 100 Italian mod enthusiasts — in conjunction with their performance of Tosca —celebrating 60’s Italian style and mid-century modern Los Angeles with special pre and post-performance activities for the public

WHAT:
Italian Vespas and Lambrettas carrying Gucci-clad hipsters alight at downtown LA’s 60’s modernist icon, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Music Center, for “Mod Night at LA Opera!”
KCRW DJ Aaron Byrd and special guest DJ Sweeney Todd will add their musical talents to the after party spinning vinyl 45’s. Signature cocktails by mixologist Paul Sanguinetti, an architectural tour and exclusive art exhibit curated by Tappan Collective top off this groovy evening.
6:00 pm - Scooter Concours (classic Vespas and Lambrettas) 6:30 pm - Architectural tour of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, public viewing of Hidden Harmonies, an art exhibit curated by Tappan Collective exploring six leitmotifs of Puccini’s Tosca 7:30 pm - Performance of Tosca with two intermissions 10:30 pm - After party hosted by KCRW’s Aaron Byrd and specialguest DJ Sweeney Todd
