Army of Me to tour with Dave Matthews Band and The Used

Washington D.C. buzz band ARMY OF ME are teaming up with Dave Matthews Band for a stretch of summer dates on the DMB side stage sponsored by MySpace.com. ARMY OF ME – made up of Vince Scheuerman (lead vocals, guitars), Brad Tursi (guitar, backing vocals), Dennis Manuel (drums) and Conrado Bokoles (bass) – will then spend the fall on the road with The Used.
The band’s latest record, CITIZEN, is available now on indie label Doghouse Records, featuring the singles “Going Through Changes” and “2 Into 1” currently spinning on tastemaker radio stations nationwide, including KROQ, KITS, WWDC, and KNRK.

“Loveline” veterans, performers on “The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson” and candidates for the Yahoo! Music "Who's Next" competition, ARMY OF ME was the most played band in April on XM Radio’s XMU and will be the featured artist on MTV’s “Discover & Download” starting week of August 6th.

Forged in 2001, ARMY OF ME refined their sound with continuous touring, sharing stages with Hot Hot Heat, Coldplay, the Strokes, Ben Lee, and the Vines among others. Tapped recently for the MySpace Secret Show in their hometown, ARMY OF ME shared the bill with Good Charlotte. Dubbed the “best unsigned band” by numerous press outlets, including Alternative Press, ARMY OF ME has finally found a home at Doghouse Records after years of DIY touring and a string of self released albums and EP’s. With a less-is-more philosophy, the sound is definitively not shrieking, whiny indie pop but solid songwriting and clean performances truly reminiscent of early Oasis, The Verve and R.E.M.
