If you read my review or saw my video of Warped Tour, then you know that Revolution Mother caught my attention. In fact, I watched their set all the way through and was impressed enough to let their publicist know I'd like an interview with them when they come back through town! ~M
REVOLUTION MOTHER’S GLORY BOUND OUT NOW ON CEMENT SHOES RECORDS
BAND GETTING RAVE REVIEWS ON VANS WARPED TOUR 07
“full-on hardcore blasts”
All Music Guide - July 2007
“If you’re always up and you’re always willing to go out there to make things happen, you’re glory bound,” says Revolution Mother vocalist and pro skater Mike V. “It’s a general statement about the life that I’ve lived and that I’ve chosen for myself. And it’s very direct about where we are with the band.”
The aforementioned positive philosophy Mike V. speaks of also happens to be the story behind the title of the Long Beach, CA-based band REVOLUTION MOTHER (Mike V – vocals, Jason Hampton – guitar, Colin Buis – bass, Brendan Murphy – drums) striking Cement Shoes Records debut, Glory Bound. With an array of tracks produced by Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Eighteen Visions) and Andy Johns (Godsmack, Led Zeppelin), Glory Bound is the most accurate musical snapshot of Revolution Mother circa ‘07 — and one that has been constantly evolving since the act’s inception.
"dark and full of venom"
Smart Punk - July 2007
Formed in late 2005 by original members Mike V and guitarist Jason Hampton, Revolution Mother immediately picked up where the pair’s former project — Mike V and The Rats — had ended. With Hampton holding a penchant for blues-based overdriven riffs and Mike V’s proven vocal delivery, the act slowly eased away from its former all-hardcore foundation, instead cutting loose with extended guitar solos, sweeping tempo shifts and more substantial arrangements.
“It’s loud, full of energy and if you aren't a Revolution Mother fan yet, you will be after you hear this album”
KNAC.com – July 2007
Currently getting rave reviews on Vans Warped Tour playing on the first ever ramp stage adjacent the ramp frontman Mike V performs his skate demos. Look for the band to continue on the road through out 2007.
“Revolution Mother kick out the jams like their lives
depend on it and deliver a sonic sucker punch to the gut”
