On Tuesday, September 25, 2007, EJAF will present its 6th annual, An Enduring Vision benefit at the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf -Astoria in New York City. An Enduring Vision will feature performances by Sir Elton John and a special musical guest, and will be hosted by Anderson Cooper. As part of the evening, EJAF will present Enduring Vision awards to corporate philanthropists Harry Slatkin of Slatkin & Co./Bath & Body Works and Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele of Chopard and to long-time EJAF supporters Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.
As Sir Elton noted in his remarks for last year's An Enduring Vision, 40,000 more Americans continue to become infected with HIV every year. Clearly, current public and private sector responses are inadequate to stop new HIV infections. We need realistic, science-based approaches to HIV prevention, and we need them now. Over the past five years An Enduring Vision has become a major source of funding for EJAF, and is crucial to the Foundation's direct grant-making and its community-partnership collaboration with the National AIDS Fund.
