AM2, anime, manga and music, convention in Anaheim July 1-3

Whether you’re a fan of anime and manga or just curious about the artforms, you can get your fill at AM2 in Anaheim July 1-3. Admission to the convention is free and there are activities around the clock during its three-day run.

In addition to a main exhibit hall, AM2 will include gaming tournaments, an arcade, summer festival, cosplay contests and events, workshops, panels, artist appearances, concerts, film screenings, fashion shows, a steam punk masked ball and more.

There will be performances by Japanese musicians, such as KanonxKanon, heidi, Scandal, Sadie, Sixh and Gasicon. The film lineup boasts offerings like “Arakawa Under the Bridge,” “Katanagatari,” “Ponyo,” “Robotech: The Macross Saga,” “Street Fighter: Alpha” and “Tokyo Zombie.”

The exhibit hall will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. The summer festival will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. For more information and a complete daily schedule, visit www.am2con.org.
