Willie Basse is in the studio

Willie Basse is in the studio with legendary recording engineers Bobby Owsinski and Ken Scott to record bass tracks on the upcoming SNEW album http://www.snewyou.com/ at Total Access Recording Studios in Redondo Beach, CA.

"I've been Snewed!” Basse says. “This is a kick-ass project with great songs that I can sink my fangs into. Working with Bobby and Ken has been more fun than work and I'm very excited to be involved."

Owsinski has worked on more than 100 surround projects and DVD productions for everyone from Jimi Hendrix, Elvis and The Who to Neil Young and The Ramones while Scott has worked with many of rock’s greats including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Elton John and David Bowie.

Meanwhile, Basse has just returned from a US tour with ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler and his band Adler’s Appetite. Basse is also making plans to hit the road again while his single “Break Away”, featuring guitarist George Lynch (Lynch Mob/Dokken) and drummer James Kottak (Scorpians), continues to rock the airwaves and is available on iTunes.

About Willie Basse:

Willie Basse is a founding member of Black Sheep, the Los Angeles band that has been home to some of rock’s greats including Slash (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), James Kottak (Scorpions), Paul Gilbert (Racer-X/Mr. Big), Randy Castillo (Ozzy Osbourne), Mitch Perry (MSG/Talas) and more. Today, Willie is rocking as a solo artist.

With his vast experience and knowledge of the location and the people who have made it known throughout the world, Willie has also affectionately become known as a cultural ambassador of The Sunset Strip, West Hollywood’s most infamous piece of rock and roll real estate. In the early days, he was known for his outrageous parties at his rehearsal studio where many bands, including Guns N’ Roses, LA Guns, Racer-X and Leatherwolf got their start. His motto was “three bands, three kegs and a thousand people”. The parties grew so large that he had to rent The Roxy and The Whisky and this was the beginning of the infamous “Sunset Strip Era.”
