The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at the COFFEE HAVEN in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).
UPCOMING SHOWCASE CALENDAR
September 7: Saviya, Shimmyshowcase coordinator for this evening, is pleased to present Shimmyshowcase founder Katerina and the Kabuki Dolls, as well as former Shimmyshowcase coordinator Kashmir with live music! This will be a great program you won’t want to miss!
September 14: Alexiis presents Reina, Sylvia and students for another exciting Shimmyshowcase. We might be able to squeeze in one more dancer, so if you would like to perform, please contact us at ShimmyShowcase@yahoogroups.com
September 21: It’s the first “official” day of autumn; the fall equinox where daylight and nighttime hours are balanced. Shimmy showcase is a great place to stay balanced if you’re a dancer or simply watch some fabulous dancing as part of our fantastic audience. Xandra welcomes the lovely Yasmin and Meryem Vani and introduces two new stars, Samia and Zahava, for this evening’s entertainment. Why don’t you come down to Coffee Haven and let Shimmyshowcase help you stay balanced?
September 28: After the great success of our August 10 showcase, Saviya once again returns with another great show featuring live music by the talented Fernan Cobian and a lineup of superb dancers including Ritchie, Najma, Taji and Evvie! This will be a night of fantastic music and dancing you won’t want to miss so come on down and be part of this great Shimmyshowcase experience.
October 5: Abraiha presents May, Mia, Saphira and Gaea who will dazzle you with gorgeous costumes and mesmerize with sinuous movements.
October 12: Your coordinator Saviya brings more live music with Fernan Cobian and dancing by Ritchie, Najma and others for another fabulous showcase. Rumor has it that this showcase will be Gothic-inspired....
October 19: Alexiis, coordinator for this evening’s Shimmyshowcase, is looking for dancers, so if you’re interested, please contact us at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com.
October 26: Coffee Haven gets spooky as Xandra presents dancers Zahir and Eve of Troupe Zagareet and poetry by Christopher Villa. There may be some vampires in the mix, so you might want to bring your crosses and garlic—but no wooden stakes please! We have openings for a couple more dancers, so please contact us at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com if you want to be part of the fun!
