Bella Morte to tour in support of new effort

Metropolis recording artists BELLA MORTE has announced a handful of dates on the East Coast, celebrating the release of its upcoming album Beautiful Death (release date: October 7, 2008).

"This record takes all the different styles we’ve created in the past and glues them together into one cohesive sound," explains vocalist Andy Deane. "There are elements of what we’ve done before on this record, but we’re more concerned with moving forward than looking back. Bella Morte fans, old and new are gonna love this one."

Their confirmed live dates are (more dates to be announced shortly):
Oct. 4 Charlottesville, VA Outback Lodge
Oct. 8 New York, NY Knitting Factory
Oct. 9 Washington DC Club Liv
Oct. 10 Allentown, PA The Sterling Hotel
Oct. 11 Baltimore, MD Talking Head

Reknowned for both its richly layered, dark alternative music and its adrenaline-drenched, dynamic live shows, Bella Morte has built a very loyal and devoted underground following. With Beautiful Death, the band's growth over the last twelve years makes itself more apparent in the album's cohesiveness and strength in songwriting.

"We consider it the definitive Bella Morte album," Andy says. "It’s less schizophrenic than our other releases. We’ve created something completely new here by combining elements of what we’ve done in the past."

From the thundering rhythm section of the opening track and first single/video "Find Forever Gone" to the epic, soaring chorus of "Fades Like a Song" to the chugging guitarwork in "Burn the Sky" to the beautiful piano elegy of the closing track "Nine Hours", Beautiful Death continues Bella Morte's much adored and revered legacy, of which bands like AFI and My Chemical Romance has popularized as of late. Beautiful Death retains the band's signature sound while expanding its breadth.

"I’ve really opened myself up on this album, pushed myself harder than ever before," he replies about the freshness of the new tracks. "I listened to so many different genres of music, everything from Metal to Goth, Hip Hop to Indie, so I’ve gathered a diverse collection of influences along the way. And I’ve matured as a vocalist and a lyricist quite a lot over the years."
With its strongest record to date just about to be released, the band has big hopes of breaking into the mainsteam with their album and their soon-to-be-announced tour.

"Honestly, fans should expect the best damned show on the planet," concludes Andy, not only confidently but also accurately.

Beautiful Death will be released on Metropolis Records on October 7, 2008.
