Alexisonfire's latest album available for $3.99

In celebration of the release of their new album OLD CROWS/YOUNG CARDINALS, ALEXISONFIRE have partnered with Amazon’s ”Daily Deal” program to offer fans a discounted rate of $3.99 at the Amazon download store via this direct link:

The St. Catharines, Ontario-based rock group ALEXISONFIRE will make their national television debut this weekend and perform their first single “Young Cardinals” on the Much Music Video Awards show airing this Saturday, June 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the TV Guide Network (82 million households in the U.S.). For the Much Music video awards--set to air on five continents and in 22 countries--ALEXISONFIRE shared the stage with Lady Gaga, the Jonas Brothers, Nickelback and many more.

For the new album--out today (June 23) on Vagrant Records (U.S.A.) and on Dine Alone and RoadRunner in the rest of the world--the group re-teamed with Julius “Juice” Butty (Protest the Hero, City and Colour) to produce. OLD CROWS/YOUNG CARDINALS marks ALEXISONFIRE’s first studio album in almost three years and the follow-up to their breakthrough album Crisis.

Even though “OLD CROWS/YOUNG CARDINALS was built on the foundation of Crisis, musically it moves at a feverish pace,” explains singer PETTIT. “The lyrics span from metaphysical rebellion, to living as a nomad. This album is the culmination of the history of our band. Personally, I feel it is our best record yet, but you get to be the judge of that.”

In gaming news, ALEXISONFIRE debuted a retro-style video game player today titled “Young Cardinals,” a throwback to the beloved Ray Ray Parade game. On the “Young Cardinals” player, fans can listen to a sampler of the new album and they can register to win exclusive prizes and order the new CD. To play the game, go to: The object of the game is to turn the flying black crows into red cardinals before the clock runs out so you can advance to the next round and continue playing.

In touring news, ALEXISONFIRE--DALLAS GREEN (vocalist/guitarist), JORDAN HASTINGS (drummer), WADE MACNEIL (guitarist/vocalist), GEORGE PETTIT (vocalist) and CHRIS STEELE (bassist)—will bring their explosive live show to the entire summer run of the Vans Warped Tour 2009 (June 26-August 23), joining NOFX, 3Oh!3, Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, TSOL, Underoath and many more on the annual punk rock extravaganza which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. Post Warped, the group are confirmed for the main stage of both the Reading and Leeds U.K. festivals performing alongside Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs and Placebo, to name a few. In October, the group will head back overseas for a European trek with Anti-Flag, The Fall of Troy and Ghost of a Thousand. Expect ALEXISONFIRE to tour throughout 2009.
