Il Divo on tour

IL Divo’s 2009 worldwide tour An Evening With IL Divo, debuted at position 10 in trade publication Pollstar’s “highest grossing tour of the year” ranking (May 28th & June 4th, 2009) propelling them into a list with entertainers Elton John/Billy Joel, Britney Spears, The Eagles and Bruce Springsteen.

With over fifty percent of the North American dates played, ticket sales have surpassed the 20 million dollar mark with 46 performances scheduled. The US tour will make a stop at Gibson Amphitheatre on July 20th and finish on July 24th in Reno, NV.

Currently performing to sell out crowds in Mexico, IL Divo have become near and dear to the Mexican heart by being one of the only bands to both go on sale and appear during the current influenza and the fans have responded in kind. Mexico City with three sold out performances becomes the 2nd highest selling market in the world for IL Divo (after Dublin). Performances in both Pueblo and Guadalajara are also sold out.

IL Divo will be departing in September for a series of Australasia dates – two shows were added in Sydney along with three shows in Tokyo, two in Osaka, plus Nagoya, Hong Kong and Singapore, with additional shows to be announced.

In 2009, IL Divo will have performed for well over 600,000 fans in 81 cities and 32 countries and grossed over $48,000,000. They are touring in support of their latest album The Promise, which debuted at #1 in eleven countries and has sold over 3 million copies. has received visitors from 174 countries.
