"Women On Waves- The History of Women in Surfing" March 2010
In conjunction with Women's History Month, the California Surf Museum will present an exciting new exhibit which will feature influential women surfers, cultural movements, a variety of important surfboards, and surf fashion trends that changed the lifestyle sport forever.

HONOR: MARINE PORTRAITS by Stathis Orphanos - March. 27, 2010
Glimpse inside the private lives of young Marines in our upcoming exhibition Honor: Marine Portraits by Stathis Orphanos. Restricted access to Camp Pendleton was granted by the Pentagon for this rare photography exhibition that gave Orphanos the opportunity to photograph major base activity including Marine training camp and the intimate living quarters on base. These never before seen images depict intimate portraits of hundreds of San Diego Marines. With great respect Orphanos captures the rituals of Marine life and honors these young men in the prime of their life. Honor: Marine Portraits will be on view at the Oceanside Museum of Art through May 2, 2010.

Ironman 70.3 March 27, 2010
Ironman 70.3 California takes place in the City of Oceanside, the U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and the surrounding area. It features a 1.2 mile swim in Oceanside harbor, followed by a challenging 56-mile bike course through the Marine Corps Base that is considered one of the most scenic in Ironman racing. The beautiful 13.1 mile run course follows the ocean and beach in Oceanside, which adds up to 70.3 miles of total racing.

4th Annual Oceanside Jazz Festival Concerts – April 16 – 17
The jazz program at MiraCosta will be hosting nearly 50 school performing groups from all around the United States as part of their annual event, the Oceanside Jazz Festival. This year, jazz choirs will perform throughout the day on Friday, April 16, and jazz bands will perform on Saturday, April 17. Daytime school performances are open to the public and free of charge. Each day will culminate in an evening performance featuring our own jazz ensembles, which will perform with internationally recognized artists.

Oceanside Days of Art – April 17 –18, 2010
Oceanside Days of Art will feature over 100 artists, who will display an exciting variety of artwork, including paintings, high quality prints, photography, hand-made jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, blown glass, and more. Sponsored by the Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation, Oceanside Days of Art will be located at Pier View Way, just east of Coast Hwy 101, beside the new Oceanside Civic Center and Library. Live music is held on an outdoor stage in the Civic Center plaza. Seating is available. 10am–5pm both days.

Earth Day at Mission San Luis Rey – April 25, 2010
Come to one of San Diego’s oldest historical sites for the Earth Day Festival at Mission San Luis Rey and celebrate the oldest pepper tree in California, located on Mission grounds. Southern California Beach Soccer Championship – May 15 - 16
Oceanside Harbor hosts the largest beach soccer event this side of the Mississippi. The huge sports festival is expecting the best youth and adult sand warriors from all over the World including players and teams from Brazil, Portugal, Canada, Nigeria, Mexico, NJ, VA, FL, NM, NV, AZ, and CA. This event promises wholesome, free family entertainment, fun, activities, vendors and lots of soccer in a festival atmosphere.
