Theory of Flight readying album

Fully embodying the blazing spirit of their latest single “Set The Night On Fire,” Las Vegas based rockers Theory of Flight are caught up in an exciting whirlwind of activity as the gear up to release their long-awaited debut album Within Reach April 20.

The band will be interviewed on LA Talk Radio on Sunday, February 28, a day before they perform a highly anticipated showcase (March 1) at Los Angeles’ The Viper Room on the Sunset Strip. On Saturday, March 6, TOF will be shooting a music video for “Set The Night On Fire” in their hometown, as the single sets in motion for radio this month.

TOF recently secured a sponsorship deal with Sennheiser Microphones and will be the featured band on the company’s website the first week of March.

The band will also be performing at numerous events during this year’s South By Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin. Among them are the “Sennheiser Rooftop Party” at the Speakeasy on 4th Street in downtown Austin March 18, in front many industry leading music supervisors; and the official SXSW Music Stimulus Party at the Parish on 6th Friday March, 19. Later that evening the guys will rock out at Lucky Lounge located on 5th Street for a 10 p.m. performance. Plus more SXSW performances in the works for TOF and will be announced shortly.

To promote their appearances at SXSW, the band will give a live electric set Thursday, March 18 on Austin NBC’s KXAN for the station’s Noon segment.

Within Reach’s (Blue Beet/Edgeware Records/EMI) original mixing was done by renowned L.A. producer, Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, Chris Issak, and The Killers), and produced by Grammy winning duo Bob Cutarella (The Police, Elton John, and Cyndi Lauper) and Fran Carthcart (Sting, Sevendust, and Beyoncé) of NYC’s East Side Studios.

Theory of Flight was formed in 2007 by front man Beau Hodges, lead guitarist Vince Casas and bassist Joey McMahon. The current lineup also includes Tyler Williams (drums) and Stephen Goodrum (rhythm guitar).
