37 Records adds to roster

So-Cal indie label 37 Records is happy to announce three new artists to the label’s roster. Eclectic singer-songwriter from Russia, Nikki Forova, whose break came from winning MTV’s Duets for a chance to perform with Grammy nominated artist Vanessa Carlton. The label also welcomes adult contemporary act Friends Of Emmet from Dublin, Ireland, whose current album “Coming Apart” recently released on April 23, 2010, along with dance performance artist Melody Zephyr hailing from Orange Country, known for her popular track “Hello Kitty Rap Pack.”

37 Records features music ranging from singer/songwriters, children's works, pop and rock, alternative modern rock, holiday music, jazz and R & B, country and bluegrass, rootsy americana to soundtracks, therefore,37 Records’ current roster consist of White Apple Tree, Brian Stoner, Friends of Emmet, Nikki Forova, Cathy-Anne McClintock, Judy Akin, Cris Barber, Fertitta and McClintock, Tom Templeman, Mindwalk, Tumbleweed, Haley Breedlove, Brett Daniels, Kristen Trayer, Don McClintock, Christian Bradley, Melody Zephyr and Steven McClintock. The label’s digital product is available in 25 different countries in over 120 separate websites... all leading back 37 Records.

In other news for the label, 37 Records’ popular electro-indie group White Apple Tree will perform at the Rock The Vote benefit event on Tuesday, June 1 at The Echo in Los Angeles, alongside DJ Jeremy Dawson from well-known band Shiny Toy Guns and new wave rockers Buddy Akai to support “Yes” on Prop 15. Prop 15 will provide public financing for candidates running for the office of Secretary of State - the office responsible for supervising elections. The California poll will take place on June 8 for voters.

White Apple Tree will also support Buddy Akai’s album release event on Thursday, June 3 in their hometown on San Diego at Casbah. The boys will perform tracks from the band’s new album Velvet Mustache including their single “Youth.”

Since releasing their debut single “Snowflakes” in 2008, White Apple Tree has been featured on the hit TV show “Gossip Girl” and has accumulated have nearly 2.5 milllion listens on MySpace, 2,300,000 profile views and almost 47,000 fans. They are often compared to Metric, Miike Snow, Coldplay or The Faint, blending blasting dance beats with melodic piano, edgy guitar and vocal melodies.
