Korn to premiere new video on MTV2 May 31

Multi-platinum Grammy winners KORN will premiere the video for their brand new single “Oildale (Leave Me Alone)” on MTV2 on May 31 at 6 AM ET. This marks the worldwide unveiling of the clip and coincides with the band’s weeklong MTV Takeover, where they hosted both Headbanger’s Ball and Rock the Deuce. Korn's new album, Korn III – Remember Who You Are, is due out July 13. It is the band's first release for Roadrunner Records and is their ninth studio release. Korn III was produced by Ross Robinson, who manned the boards for the band's first two albums, Korn and Life is Peachy.

As its title suggests, Korn III – Remember Who You Are finds the band sticking to its roots, and the song and video are vintage Korn; the band once again taps into the visceral emotion that defined their earliest records, all the while remaining true to their well-honed experience and growth as a band over the past decade-plus.

“We thought it was fitting to have the first single and video from Korn III – Remember Who You Are be 'Oildale (Leave Me Alone),' since Oildale is near where we grew up as kids," vocalist Jonathan Davis said about the song and its accompanying video. “It’s a poverty stricken area surrounded by endless, rich oil fields. The money doesn’t really help the local people and it’s tough for local kids to get out of there. I feel blessed that our music busted us out.”

Also, a free Mp3 download of "Are You Ready to Live" will be available for 24 hours on www.roadrunnerrecords.com starting at 11 AM ET today, May 27. To download the song, go here: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/areyoureadytolive/.

2010 is shaping up to be another prolific and productive year for Korn, as the band is currently headlining the Spring edition of the Jagermeister Tour, "Korn's Ballroom Blitz," as they have named it. They are playing to capacity crowds across the US and debuting new material along the way. The band heads right back out on the road this summer, as they co-headline the Rock Star Energy Mayhem Fest through July and August. Be sure to look for the forthcoming Mayhem-themed issue of Revolver, as the band will grace the cover.

Don't forget to tune in for the video premiere on May 31!
