Goldenboy is bringing their laid-back poetic indie-rock to both Northern and Southern California in the next two months, first at Smiley's Schooner Saloon in Bolinas on Friday, May 21st and Spaceland in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 29th.
Goldenboy, whose 2006 album Underneath the Radio was described by Under the Radar as a “quest for perfect soft-and-gentle indie-pop”, is lead by Shon Sullivan, who fuses his calming and unobtrusive voice and soothing guitar melodies together to make emotional music without the emo, beauty without an inundation of instruments or overstated lyrics.
Making up the rest of Goldenboy are Jon Crawford (drums, vocals), Katy Stone (bass, vocals), Keith Brown (keyboards), and Nicole Verhamme (guitar). The band comes together seamlessly on stage and are really fun to watch, so be sure to catch one of their shows coming up for a fulfilling night of heartfelt soft rock!
