The Dirty Heads' video hits MTV

Executive Music Group has announced the official music video debut of The Dirty Heads hit single “Lay Me Down.” The video is slated to premiere exclusively on MTVU and MTV2, and will be featured on the homepages of MTV.com, MTVU.com and MTV2.com on Thursday, June 24th. Following the premiere, the video will be available worldwide on Friday, June 25th. The music video for the laid back track of the summer follows two teens through the streets of Mexico, outrunning the cops and looking for a place to settle down. The band is featured performing throughout the video and is interspersed with documentary style footage.

Currently, “Lay Me Down” is #1 for the eighth consecutive week on both the Billboard and Mediabase charts. Recently named one of the “Best New Bands of 2010” by Rolling Stone, Billboard says “those searching for the song of the summer will find a solid contender in ‘Lay Me Down’."

The Dirty Heads are currently on the road in support of their debut album “Any Port in a Storm.” The band will continue to tour with Sublime with Rome, including dates now featuring Matisyahu, as well as perform its own headlining shows and summer festivals. Executive Music Group (EMG) recently released the expanded, 22-track, special edition of The Dirty Heads debut album “Any Port in a Storm,” through Fontana, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. The set includes the hit single “Lay Me Down,” featured on Rolling Stone’s “Hot List” and the band recently performed the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
