Star Anna & the Laughing Dogs coming to Pasadena

Star Anna & The Laughing Dogs deliver “passion, grit, rock n roll” (Americana UK) on their forthcoming West coast tour beginning and ending in their hometown of Seattle with the final show at Bumbershoot on Saturday, September 4.

Hailing from Central Washington (Ellensburg to be exact), Star Anna & The Laughing Dogs exploded onto the Northwest scene in 2008 with “tangy, lonesome, haunting Northwest alt-country" (-Seattle P-I) on Crooked Path, the highly regarded debut that “should put this regional star on a much larger map.” (-Portland Tribune)

In 2009, Anna & The Dogs took a step into rock n’ roll with more vocal power, heavier, more passionate playing and an overall deeper darker vibe on The Only Thing That Matters. The sophomore release walks the line between light and dark without falling too far to either side. It showcases the band’s ability to stand out without overpowering Star Anna’s throaty vocals.

“The young singer-songwriter exudes hard living, from her world-weary, head-turning voice and classic-sounding take on Americana straight through to her biting tales of love gone bad.” –(NPR Song of the Day)

Following their summer tour, Star Anna & The Laughing Dogs will return to the studio this fall to record new material.
