BC Jean to release single in September

Singer/songwriter and edgy pop recording artist BC Jean will be releasing her debut single “Just A Guy” on September 14th on J Records. As the co-writer for Beyonce’s mega hit “If I Were A Boy,” BC was the subject of a signing frenzy war, signed to J Records and quickly entered the studio to record her debut album slated for release early 2011.

Inspired by Gwen Stefani and Alanis Morrisette, BC is a dynamic young artist who possesses tremendous talent, drive, and passion.

Grammy-nominated producer and multi-platinum hitmaker Ryan Tedder and producer of “’Just A Guy’” said “This is first song I’ve ever produced that I didn’t write in six years…That’s how much I like this song. I have a good feeling about this one.”

Sony Music Chief Creative Offer Clive Davis who signed her to J Records along with Larry Jackson and John Ehmann said “You eagerly wait for a multi-talented new artist to come along like BC Jean. She’s already proven her major songwriting ability, and, what’s more, she’s got a truly powerful voice with edge and natural soulfulness.”

BC is currently in the studio working with a host of top-notch collaborators including Ryan Tedder (Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé), The Matrix (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera), Max Martin (Katy Perry, Pink). Brian Howes (Daughtry, David Cook), Zac Maloy (David Cook, Jason Castro), and Howard Benson (The All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance).
