Healdsburg Crush Festival Oct. 16

The who's who of Sonoma County wineries and restaurants will gather under one roof for an evening of food and wine tasting in downtown Healdsburg, just one block east of the Plaza, for the Healdsburg Crush Festival, sponsored by St. John Catholic School on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Raffle drawings, silent auction lots, buy-in parties and live music round out the evening’s festivities.

The popular event, now in its 7th year, will showcase over 30 Sonoma County wineries, featuring many award winning and boutique wines, alongside dozens of outstanding local restaurants and food purveyors. Guest winemakers from participating wineries will be available for questions and conversation about the 2010 crush season, while popular local chefs will be serving their signature dishes. The Crush Festival, which has come to be known as the event where Sonoma winemakers pair their wines with Sonoma County’s finest locally grown and sourced foods, attracts attendees from all over the country.

Participating wineries include Alexander Valley Vineyards, Seghesio Family Vineyards, Gallo Family Vineyards, Dry Creek Vineyard, George Wines and Bella Vineyards to name only a small sampling. Some food purveyors providing fine cuisine for the evening include Divine Pizza, Dry Creek Olive Oil Company, Affronti, Costeaux French Bakery & CafĂ©, Peloton Catering, and Sake’O.

The Healdsburg Crush Festival will take place at St. John School Parish Activity Center at 217 Fitch St., Healdsburg. Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased by calling 707-318-7997 or online at http://www.healdsburgcrushfestival.org.
