Melting Pot Food Tours, a walking food tasting company that caters to both locals and visitors to Los Angeles, has launched a Thursday evening tour for Old Pasadena. This new evening tour captures the magic of Old Pasadena at night with a few twists from Melting Pot Food Tours’ current daytime tour, including an optional wine and cheese tasting.
Melting Pot Food Tours’ founders, sister team Lisa and Diane Scalia, are thrilled to offer Angelenos a nighttime option, and L.A. visitors a chance to experience Pasadena in a unique way.
“Pasadena comes alive at night,” Diane Scalia says. “We thought guests might like a different type of after work or evening experience. Locals and visitors now can enjoy this district in a special way—with a combination of tastings, appreciation of local color, and a little shopping—that we hope will be unforgettable.”
A food tour is unlike any regular restaurant experience. Melting Pot Food Tours bring together tastings from numerous local, independently owned and operated restaurants, with background history on the area, restaurants and cuisine, as well as personal anecdotes. Imagine a historic neighborhood tour that leaves your stomach full and satisfied, and you’ve got Melting Pot Food Tours.
“Our tours are all walking tours, so this is a very accessible, fun option for families, businesses, dates and so on,” Lisa Scalia notes. “It’s incredible that you can taste cuisine from around the world in these neighborhoods, on foot, all in about a one mile walk.”
The Old Pasadena tour makes stops at more than 9 places. The tour offers tastes from around the globe, from Peruvian cuisine and Asian Fusion to Middle Eastern and Californian.
Additionally, the tour stops at unique shops for a true sensory experience. Guests leave the tour with a goodie bag and guide so that they may return to their favorite places again at their leisure.
