Michael Bolton possesses “a powerful, expressive, remarkably versatile voice,” raves Rolling Stone magazine. The two-time Grammy winner celebrates his timeless classics as well as songs from his new album One World One Love at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Tuesday, September 14, 8:00 PM. Tickets range from $95-$50 and are available at the CCPA Ticket Office, on www.cerritoscenter.com , or by calling (562) 467-8818. The $95 seats are sold out.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bolton has sold more than 53 million albums, teaming up with musical luminaries such as Luciano Pavarotti, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, and Barbra Streisand. In AN EVENING WITH MICHAEL BOLTON, the one-time BMI “Songwriter of the Year” showcases his Soft-Rock ballads - which include Said I Loved You * But I Lied, When I’m Back on My Feet Again, and the Grammy-winning Pop songs How Am I Supposed to Live Without You and When a Man Loves a Woman. Bolton will also introduce tunes from his new album, One World One Love, which The Village Voice praised for its “dramatic piano melodies.”
The Toronto Star concurred, raving: “The voice of this American balladeer * is as raspy and beseeching as you remember. * Unexpected, but authentic.” That same distinctive voice earned Bolton the three-time distinction of “Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist” from the American Music Awards and a 2005 Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Music and Lyrics” for the documentary Terror at Home: Domestic Violence in America. He continues to test musical genre boundaries with One World One Love, which features collaborations with popular R&B icon Ne-Yo in the track The Best and controversial Pop queen Lady Gaga, who co-wrote the song Murder My Heart.
