Thursday, September 30, San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino welcomes Creed front man Scott Stapp to the San Manuel Stage. Tickets are on sale today and available at Ticketmaster.com and the San Manuel Box Office for $20 and $30.
Born in North Carolina, Scott Stapp developed a friendship with fellow musician and guitarist, Mark Tremonti, who went on to form a band with the singer. In 1995, Tremonti and Stapp met Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips to create Creed.
In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, Creed sold three multi-platinum albums only to breakup in 2004. With the official breakup of Creed, Stapp began working on his debut solo album, The Great Divide, which was released in 2005. Stapp’s solo album peaked at number 19 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart and certified platinum.
The singer and former front man sites Jim Morrison as his principal musical influences. Stapp will be appearing on Carlos Santana’s upcoming solo album, Guitar Heaven: Santana Performs the Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time.
