Michiru to release new album Sunday

Michiru, a unique female artist in new age, post classical and world music, based in Japan, will release her 1st solo album called "WORLD'S END VILLAGE" to the world, in both physical and digital distribution from Michiru Works Label, on 5 December 2010.

Michiru, born in 1980, already spent her infancy mimicking birds singing and sound of nature with piano. And although her musical background started in classical music, she quickly absorbed the essence of various music categories such as pops, electro, ethnic, jazz, rock, contemporary, etc... and sublimed them to her own cross-genre musical style.

When she graduated top of the class from Tokyo University of the Arts, her first symphony, Music For Orchestra 2004, was premiered. Afterwards, she wrote music for various media and movies, and then, much-awaited her debut album was released in Japan in Dec 2009.

WORLD'S END VILLAGE is a proof of Michiru's exceptional ability as a composer and arranger, and it represents her powerful and original inspiration, creativity and music perspective as well.

The album should also be noted for the participation of 4 great female singers; Julia Marcel from Poland, London based Ayu Okakita, Saho Terao, and Mariko Otsuka.
