DEVO launches limited footwear line

DEVO, purveyors of innovative modern music, prophetic sociological shamans, and forward-thinking fashion iconoclasts, have teamed up with Macbeth Footwear to launch a very limited edition Studio Project series, featuring the very same 3M reflective textile shoes Devo wears on-stage. Spuds have two focus-group approved items to choose from: a Blue Version and a Classic Red Version, both made from 100% vegan materials with rubber out-sole. These impossibly stylish, unisex shoes are now available for pre-order at www.clubdevo.com. As a bonus, all fans can receive an exclusive free download of “Don’t Shoot (Polysics remix),” Click the link to go directly to the download.

Devo hit the road in June in support of their current Warner Bros. Records album, Something For Everybody and their brand new digital EP, “What We Do.” As previously reported, Devo has just launched a truly unique, groundbreaking interactive video for “What We Do” (click the link to view the video on Mashable.Com now) that was directed by Devo’s own Gerald Casale along with Kii Arens and Jason Trucco, and featuring band members and a cast of Devo-attired professional thespians. What makes the short film so unique is that the viewer has the option to scan the entire 360 degrees of the viewing field to allow control of any focal point of interest. As various characters enter the scenario clad in a piece of Devo merchandise, the viewer can directly access the Official Devo Store and immediately purchase the featured merchandise with a click. This level of user-friendly video technology is a first and Devo are the perfect creative entity to introduce this visually compelling fan-centric medium to an awaiting world.
