Music Matters is a benefit concert that is raising funds for two highly deserving favorite charities. Seventy-five percent of proceeds will go towards Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA), a non-profit that provides and promotes the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and creative and general development. The other twenty-five percent will benefit the Children's Miracle Network to support the local Children's Hospitals.
The event is the perfect all ages set up. Musicians playing on this special evening include Ryan Coleman, who starred on Nickelodeon's 'All That' 2003-05, Arianna Afsar, who is the reigning Miss California, the largest scholarship organization for Women today and Justin Young, who along with being a solo artist also often accompanies Colbie Caillat. Also entertaining that evening is David Ryan Harris, John Mayer's guiarist and right-hand man, Dancing with the Star's very own Mark Ballas, Mercury Island Def Jam's newly signed John West and Trevor Hall.
The event takes place June 6th at the Roxy theater in Los Angeles.
