Sunday, June 26, Noon – American Masters: “Maestro James Levine: 40 Years at the Met” – PREMIERE

To celebrate his 40th anniversary at the Metropolitan Opera, Maestro James Levine’s life and current work is the subject of a documentary film.


Sunday, June 26, 1 p.m. – Great Performances at the Met: “Nixon in China” – PREMIERE

Peter Sellars makes his Met debut with this groundbreaking 1987 work. “Nixon in China” explores the human truths beyond the headlines surrounding President Nixon’s 1972 encounter with Communist China


Sunday, June 26, 4 p.m. – “Keeping Score: Mahler: Origins” – PREMIERE

Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony perform Mahler's famous and poignant love song, Adagietto from Symphony No. 5, the Scherzo from Symphony No. 7 in E minor and the Rondo Burleske from Symphony No. 9 in D major.
