On September 27th, La Habra, CA-based pop-punks zebrahead will be unleashing their eleventh studio effort overall, titled 'Get Nice,' via Niji Entertainment Group. To celebrate this occasion, it has been announced that the band will be performing a free show at the Slidebar Rock-N-Roll Kitchen (in Fullerton, CA) on Friday, September 30th. Showtime is 11:00pm, and you must be 21 and over to enter.
zebrahead is comprised of vocalist/rapper Ali Tabatabaee, vocalist/guitarist Matty Lewis, guitarist Greg Bergdorf, bassist Ben Osmundson, and drummer Ed Udhus, and has been rocking since 1996. In the process, zebrahead has sold 1.5 million copies of their albums (800,000 in the USA alone), and even received a Grammy nomination. Additionally, zebrahead has tour around the world since 1996, both headlining clubs and festivals, including the Vans Warped Tour and opening for bands like Green Day, 311, No Doubt, and Lit.
The Slide Bar (www.slidebarfullerton.com ) is owned by zebrahead's great friend (and also member of the multi-platinum band Lit), Jeremy Popoff, and features a 5 star gourmet restaurant. Also of note for fans attending the show - a version of 'Get Nice' with a collectors cover (that you can only get in the USA) will be on sale at the show.
'Get Nice' was produced by Jason Freese (Jewel, Death by Stereo, and plays with veteran outfit Green Day) and mixed by Andy Carpenter (Dwarves). A pair of videos has already been filmed for tracks off of 'Get Nice,' the album's title tune and "Ricky Bobby," which can be viewed via these links:
