Roy Orbison tribute band in Altadena Dec. 1

Altadena, December 1, 2011. Nationally recognized Roy Orbison tribute artist Mark Barnett and the Black & White Knights will return to the Coffee Gallery Backstage to present their stunning tribute to Roy Orbison in "Revisiting the Orbison Years."

"We are very pleased to be invited back to the Coffee Gallery Backstage," said Mark Barnett, aka, Roy Orbison. " It’s a very intimate setting for a concert and we get to interact with the audience more than we can in the larger venues."

Revisiting the Orbison Years features the exceptional vocal talent of Mark Barnett. He has a four-octive vocal range that captures the singer with such classics hits as "Only the Lonely," "Crying," "Oh, Pretty Woman," "Running Scared" as well as many other hits and a few discoveries. Mark’s transformation into Roy is complete with the looks, voice and the feel of this magnificent performer.

Mark has been professionally singing the songs of Roy Orbison since 1991. He has performed this show from Las Vegas to Laughlin and L.A. to Boston. His professional musical career began in his father’s band, "The Johnny Barnett Show," at the early age of 13.

This is an incredible journey back in time. Just close your eyes and listen to the haunting ballads of Roy Orbison as performed by Mark Barnett while the story of Roy from the Sun record years to his death is told through Roy’s music and a narrative as read by Mr. Rock N’ Roll, Brian Beirne. You will find yourself transported back to yesteryear as you revisit the Orbison years.

Show time is 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $15.00. The Coffee Gallery Backstage is located at 2029 Lake St. in Altadena. Call 626-798-6236 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. for reservations. Reservations are highly recommended. http://www.coffeegallery.com.
