Formed in the summer of 2004 at LyricaFest in New Jersey, the Hausmann Quartet joins San Diego State University as the 2010-2012 Resident String Quartet.

The Aiana String Quartet, winners of the 2011 Coleman-Barstow Prize for Strings at the Coleman International Chamber Music Competition, are the new Young Professional String Quartet at the University of Texas, where they are assistants to the Miro Quartet.
