Burbank events April thorugh January

Downtown Burbank Partnership is pleased to announce the dates for five key events in 2013. A majority are free to attend, and all are family friendly:

Downtown Burbank ARTS Festival
Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Downtown streets will be packed with artists, street painters and more than 12,000 art lovers on San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia Boulevard and Olive Avenue on Saturday and Sunday April 13 and 14 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Featured will be animation and digital artists associated with Creative Talent Network, and 90 regional artists displaying thousands of paintings, sculptures and photographs.  Plus, Southern California's most talented chalk artists will be producing supersized artwork on city streets, evoking every style from pop art to the high Renaissance. www.downtown-burbank.org

Downtown Burbank Car Classic
Saturday, July 27, 3:00 to 9:00 pm
The region’s most fabulous automobiles will cruise into Downtown Burbank in a spectacular showcase featuring restored and pre-1974 vehicles, exotics, hot rods and more. In tune with the district’s association with the entertainment industry, cars with a “Hollywood” twist will be in the spotlight -- those appearing in film or television, or having a distinguished pedigree of celebrity ownership. Burbank International Film Festival
Wednesday, September 4 through Sunday, September 8
The Burbank International Film Festival returns for the fifth year packed with film screenings, red carpet events, honorees, awards, parties and seminars throughout Downtown Burbank. Enjoy screenings at AMC 16 Theatres, seminars, special appearances and more. Shining a light on the unknown artist of today, the BIFF helps emerging talent become the celebrated actors of tomorrow.www.burbankfilmfestival.org

Turkey Trot 5K/10K Run
Thursday, November 28, 8:00 am
More than two thousand men, women and children will lace up their shoes on Thanksgiving morning to participate in the fourth annual Turkey Trot 5K/10K Run. Downtown Burbank Holiday Cheer
Sunday, December 1, 2013 through Wednesday, January 1, 2014
Downtown Burbank will kick off a month-long holiday celebration with Santa’s Downtown Wonderland on December 1. Festivities will then continue right up through New Year’s Day with dozens of events throughout the district, including the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, Metrolink Holiday Toy Express, Holley Trolley Tours, Breakfast with Santa and numerous winter activities. www.downtown-burbank.org
