L.A. STATE HISTORIC PARK
FRIDAY – MARCH 8
SATURDAY - MARCH 9

(Los Angeles – Tuesday March 5, 2013) Los Angeles State Historic Park will host Swedish House Mafia’s highly-anticipated Masquerade Motel concert event on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th.  This massive show will feature Swedish House Mafia’s final West Coast performances as well as an all-star lineup of special guests including Nero, Alesso, Zedd, An21, Max Vangeli and much more.

The Saturday show is sold-out and tickets are going fast for the Friday performance.  Given the very large fan turnout anticipated – up to 70,000 people over the course of both days -- park and city officials strongly urge fans to take note of the following information:

ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID MISSING ANY OF THE SHOW!  With such a high attendance expected fans that don’t plan on getting to the venue early stand a great risk of missing the concert.

Doors will open at 2 PM.  The show will start at 3:30 PM.  Detailed set times are listed below

Metro is a great way to get to the show, and is free for all ticketholders (on day of show).  Why drive when you can ride!  Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) service is a convenient alternative, and is free for all Masquerade Motel ticketholders on show day.  All fans need is their concert ticket (a receipt will suffice for Metro riders picking up tickets at will call).
.
Getting there is easy on the Metro Gold Line. Fans can take the Gold Line to the Chinatown Station (901 N Spring St, Los Angeles 90012) and then walk a short distance to the Los Angeles Historic State Park.  Fans can also take the Blue Line, Red Line subway or the new Expo Line to connect.  The Chinatown Station adjacent to the park is served by Metro Bus lines 81, 83 and 84.

Trains run every 12 minutes throughout the day and every 20 minutes after 7 p.m.  The last train northbound to Pasadena-bound stations departs the Chinatown Station at 2:14 a.m.  The last train southbound to Little Tokyo and East L.A. stations departs the Chinatown Station at 2:05 a.m. and connects to the last Red Line train at Union Station at 2:12 a.m. The last southbound train to Union Station departs at 2:33 a.m.  Plan your best route using the Trip Planner at metro.net.  A map showing Metro routes and parking locations is included below.

For fans driving to the venue, heavy traffic and congested streets are anticipated at and around the venue for this show Arrive at venue early to help avoid traffic delays.  Fans are encouraged to check traffic patterns before getting on the road in order to plan their route.  Go to: www.sigalert.com and www.511.com.

Since there are multiple routes to L.A. State Historic Park by car, fans need to take note of directional signage and freeway message boards.  Los Angeles Department of Transportation and the Los Angeles Police Department will deploy throughout the area and will update freeway signage to help direct fans to the venue as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Carpooling is strongly encouraged.  The small difference between four versus three people riding per car results in thousands of fewer vehicles on the road, greatly streamlining traffic and parking, not to mention reducing harmful exhaust emissions.  Plus, carpooling offers attendees a lower-cost option.

While L.A. State Historic Park does not have any parking on-site, several public lots are located nearby.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and catch a screening of the Swedes’ 2010 documentary Take One in the Masquerade Motel Ballroom. Filmed over the course of 2 years, 253 gigs and 15 countries by directors Christian Larson and Henrik Hanson, Take One offers fans an unprecedented look at Swedish House Mafia on stage and behind the scenes.  Fans can also enjoy free popcorn while watching the movie.

In addition to enjoying Take One and getting earlier entry to the show, early arriving fans will get a first look at tour merchandise. Restrooms will also be available at various locations immediately outside the venue prior to doors.
