Park Seed launches recipe contest

The only thing that's more fun than growing vegetables is eating them, and in the summertime, that means firing up the grill! The Park Seed Company (ParkSeed.com) is offering a $100 Park Seed gift certificate to the gardener/chef who submits the best recipe that uses grill skills and, ideally, incorporates something you could grow using Park Seed products. Recipes can be in any of the following categories: appetizer, main course, side dish, salad, dessert, and other.

To submit your entries, email your recipe, including the category you wish to enter, to inet@parkseed.com with the subject Summer Grilling Recipe Contest. Be sure to include your name, street address, and email address. Entries must be received via email no later than 12:00 midnight Eastern Time on July 31st.

In addition to the $100 Park Seed gift certificate, the winner also receives some serious bragging rights! The winning recipe and other favorite entries will be featured in the popular Park News enewsletter that is sent to thousands of gardeners. They will also be available online in the "Recipes" section of SuccessWithSeed.org.

The Park Seed Company (www.parkseed.com) has been providing innovative, top-quality gardening products to generations of American gardeners since 1868. Started in George W. Park's home in Libonia, Pennsylvania, Park Seek Company has grown into one of the oldest, largest, and most beloved mail-order seed companies in America. With the motto "Your success and pleasure are more to Park than your money," Park Seed has always been known not only for its superior seed and plants, but also for its helpful garden advice and friendly service.

Since 1916, Wayside Gardens (www.waysidegardens.com) has been the American gardener's premier source for the newest, most unusual, and hardest-to-find plants from around the world. Wayside Gardens became part of the Park Seed family of brands in 1975. Today, Wayside remains true to founder J.J. Grulleman's pledge to offer only the most superior plants exhibiting the highest levels of quality and horticultural excellence.
