Man Man on tour

After months touring Europe, Man Man, the band the New York Times called a “delirious, scrapheap-eclectic Philadelphia outfit,” are back in the states and set to take their famously infamous show on the road here. A number of headlining shows are interspersed between festival appearances at the Download festival in New Jersey, Bumbershoot in Seattle, the Street Scene in San Diego and the Austin City Limits festival in Texas, among others.

Non-stop touring in support of their Anti- Records debut Rabbit Habits has seen Man Man crisscrossing the US, sleeping on floors across Europe and winning fans at each show. The legend of the Man Man live experience – which includes a whirlwind of songs that flow one into the other amidst a jumble of swapped instruments and found objects – grows exponentially as reports of ardent fans in all-white, wearing war paint and fake mustaches, increase.

For their part, the critics are sold:

· “A vaudevillian clash of sinfully delicate doo wop, virtuosic free jazz, heart-ripping, gut-crunching, intense punk rock energy, free flowing danceable funk, and above all, Eastern European tinged two step polka…love them or hate them, Man Man is a band you have to respect for their live show.” --Aquarian

· “This is not just a rock show – more like a séance or an offering of upheaval and melody to the heavens.” --Denver Post

· “Their live show is truly where the band’s genius is revealed.” --OC Weekly

· “Aesthetically a bit kooky, at once intensely focused and unhinged.” –Chicago Tribune
