Shanghai Restoration Project to perform in L.A. and NYC

The artist/producer known as the SHANGHAI RESTORATION PROJECT is gearing up to showcase new music off his impending release, Instrumentals Day And Night, in Los Angeles (August 5) and New York (August 13).

An experiment in cross-cultural soundscapes, the SHANGHAI RESTORATION PROJECT draws its creative inspiration from the old 1930s Shanghai jazz bands, reviving this exotic blend by introducing Eastern instruments to the Western sounds of hip-hop and electronica. Not only is the music an extraordinary combination of styles, but it is also widely used in many international advertising and marketing campaigns, such as Kenzo Parfums, a division of Louis Vuitton, an iPod promotion in Japan, a Rhapsody/Tivo Campaign and Sandisk Sansa MP3 Players.

The showcase experience will be enhanced by classic and modern video footage of Shanghai, bringing China a whole lot closer to those living miles away. Be sure to catch the SHANGHAI RESTORATION PROJECT and surprise guest artists on the following dates:
