Ximena Sarinana tapped for Descubre & Download program

Ximena Sariñana is the latest hot new arist tapped by MTV Tr3's for its highly popular Descubre & Download program. The multiplatform music discovery platform has been lauded by music executives as “critical” in launching new careers and by Rolling Stone Magazine as “career changing.”

Ximena is a Mexican singer-songwriter-pianist who at age 22 is being celebrated as an extraordinarily mature and distinctive recording artist, one who combines echoes of Ella Fitzgerald and Edith Piaf recordings with her own unique cultural sounds. Ximena has been a well-known professional actress in Mexico since the age of four. She released her first album, Mediocre, there in February of this year and achieved a level of success unprecedented for a new artist: The album debuted at the top of the album charts and remained there for five weeks, earning her Gold sales status in the recording’s first few months on sale. The album is still in the top ten.
